Moreton Horse Trials is held at the Moreton Equestrian Centre in Dorset and this was my first visit. What a lovely surprise was in store. Everyone there was ready to have a good Horse Trails. Friendly Organisers, Officials, Volunteers and Competitors.

The weather was vey hot, but we all know that. A part from one 7 minute hold, due to a fall, the two days ran smoothly and on time. Beautiful countryside and a lovely cross country course. I particularly liked the water complex, with jumps in for all classes and at least 5 strides through the water.

It was also good to see Mary King, Zara Tindall, Andrew Nicholson and William Fox-Pitt on their young horses. If you haven’t competed at Moreton, as it might just be 1 hour too far away, take that extra step and go there. You will not be disappointed. BE80(T) through to Novice sections.
