Three days of CCI 3*S and CCI 4*S action, with plenty of BE100, Novice, Intermediate and Advanced sections too. That’s what you get at the Barefoot Retreats Burnham Market International Horse Trials in Norfolk. There was plenty of sunshine, plus a bit of wind, at the top of the hill. Oliver Townend took the honours in the CCI3*S on COOLEY ROSALENT. Kitty King on CRISTAL FONTAINE and Piggy March on DARGUN took top spots in the two CCI4*S sections and both also came second in the CCI4*S sections respectively.
At 3pm on Saturday, the entire horse trails stood in silence in honour of HRH Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. It was a very moving experience with just the noise of the wind in your ears.
The event ran like clockwork and the event saw 600 paying members of the public in attendance.
