It’s no secret, but Borde Hill Horse Trials is one of my favourite grassroots events. The backdrops are always there in multiple shades of green. Technical courses at all levels to test both horse and rider. Everything ran smoothly over the two days and the weather was very kind to us. Seventeen sections from BE80T to Novice kept the volunteers busy. I also like the system of riders having times to compete to. This Borde Hill was a first for me, as my sister and brother-in-law came to spectate. It really is quite a test to explain to people that have never been to a horse trial what to do and be careful of.
