Set in the magnificent parkland of historic houses, the best international riders can be seen performing dressage, galloping cross-country and showjumping. Similar events are held at venues all over the country testing the capabilities of competitors at varying levels. NagMag showcases many of these.


Hickstead is the top national venue at which all equestrians aspire to compete, in the show ring, as a showjumper, driver or polo player. Annually it hosts three major events – the Derby Meeting, the Royal International Horse Show and the All England Jumping Championships – with classes for the grassroots riders up to the top international competitors.
